Janet Williams Hepler, PCC
Creativity, learning, and leadership have been at the core of Janet’s work as a leader and professional coach. Before becoming a professional certified coach, Janet spent her early years working in high technology organizations focused on facilitating learning and leading teams that created great content. In her coaching, she works with leaders to develop their authentic leadership presence to develop, engage, and transform their teams to do great work. She also works with people who are keen to transform their careers to align with their skills and desire to make a difference in the world around them.
Janet joined the faculty of SeattleCoach in 2016 where she is also an associate faculty member of The SeattleCoach Professional Coach Training and Development Program. As a certified mentor coach, Janet enjoys working with coaches to hone their coaching skills and presence. Janet also coaches leaders and teams in programs sponsored by the Center for Leadership & Strategic Thinking at the University of Washington. The Center focuses on research-based practices in developing leaders and teams.
Janet served as the 2017 President of the board of the Puget Sound Chapter of the Association for Talent Development—a volunteer organization committed to making work. She holds two master’s degrees—one in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and one in French.
Janet draws creative inspiration from many sources, including the outdoors, music, and collaborating with others. Her company, Highline Coaching, LLC, is named for one of the most scenic trails in Glacier National Park—a trail that has provided many opportunities for rich conversation and options to explore new territory and gain perspective. She sings with the Lyric Arts Ensemble—a 17 voice group that breaks tradition with innovative rehearsals practices and offering concerts at no charge.
