Born and raised in mid-Western US, Harvey may be low key about her leadership successes, but her clients, professional colleagues and audiences are not. People speak of her as bold, curious, provocative, challenging, yet respectful and compassionate in her leadership roles. Her philosophy of personal leadership permeates every aspect of her work today as a leader, coach, trainer, speaker and author. “I learned from birth that life gifts each of us with unique, innate capacities, even if we do not always appreciate those gifts at the outset. No matter what, we each possess power and potential waiting to be unleashed and expressed throughout our lives.
Janet Harvey also brings her executive and entrepreneurial experience to the role of President for inviteCHANGE, dedicated to professional coaching solutions and organizational leader development as well as the role of ICF Foundation Board of Trustees Chair and previously six years as a member of the ICF Global Board of Directors, including Global President in 2012. The International Coach Federation is the largest professional coaching association in the world with the only globally recognized, peer demonstration review Credential system.

Prior to her role at inviteCHANGE, Janet founded and served as CEO of two different organizational consulting and coaching firms: Clarity International, Inc., and Manchester Consulting Group, Inc., and was a senior officer for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.
She holds the M.A. in Organizational Development & Human Resource Management, summa cum laude from the University of San Francisco, and a B.S. in Economics, as well as the B.A. in Finance, cum laude from San Francisco State University.
