Constance Morris Hope is a seasoned Executive Coach, Facilitator, and Trainer specializing in Leader and Organizational Development in international and multicultural workplaces. She is recognized as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coaching Federation. She has had over 35 years of experience in leader development, corporate governance, and organizational communication in five international organizations, 26 US government agencies, and many non-profit organizations and educational institutions. Constance has had professional experience in 39 countries and has lived, studied, and traveled in 22 others. Working primarily with leaders/executives (established, in transition, and developing), and with diverse teams (international, racial, personality type, gender), she uses a combination of assessment, feedback, coaching, and consulting to help clients identify areas for focus.
As a coach, Constance assumes that all her clients are ‘naturally creative, resourceful, and whole’. Her approach to coaching is client-focused. She believes that understanding and appreciation of others, and thus, the ability to forge better working relationships, begins with a better understanding of oneself. Through an appreciative and reflective process, Constance helps clients gain greater self-awareness, discover their strongest personal and leadership attributes, broaden their perspectives, and develop their personal confidence to enhance communication with others, strengthen relationships, and improve results. In her view, a more self-aware individual who has successfully stepped into her own power, the power of ‘I’, can eventually dance into the ‘power of ‘WE’, and be a better team member.
Constance is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the Association for Talent Development (ATD, formerly ASTD), She is an active organizer and facilitator in the ongoing Conversation on Race sponsored by the Talbot Association of Clergy and Laity (TACL) in Talbot County, Maryland. She is an active member of the Task Force for the Humane Treatment of Immigrants in Talbot County. She also delivers training and coaching to students in the Talbot Mentors/Mid-Shore Scholars Program whose mission is to engage highly motivated students to help them enroll and graduate from four-year colleges with minimal financial loans. She is a past chairman of the board of Evergreen, a Center for Balanced Living on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and a current member of the board of the Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center in Easton
